AUSTIN, Texas — Four Hands, a global designer and wholesaler of trendsetting lifestyle home furnishings, has launched its “The Collector” series, inspired by customers who want to mix it up with unique pieces and show a sense of individuality.
These products pair sculpted marbles, cool metals and architectural details with retro-driven reclaimed woods, heavy textures and warm leathers.
“Being a collector is the most exciting part of design; that’s when it gets fun,” said Adam Dunn, Four Hands creative director. “We’re mixing modern styles with vintage references to create unexpected and eye-catching combinations.”
The Collector series features two looks:
- New Forma is a postmodern collector style with slick, shiny metals and more stone marble, copper and chrome — a bit formal but not traditional and rooted in postmodern aesthetics and playing in forms. With vivid hues, exaggerated channeling and avant-garde details, shapes are reimagined by way of playful proportions.
- Modern Nomad is more of a vintage, bohemian-inspired look with soft feeling and soft-grained natural woods, jute, raw fibers and textured concrete. Soft volume, warm leathers, earthy stone, heavy texturing and natural woods craft a freshly curated, global look with a built-in sense of individuality.
The series also includes Four Hands’ collection of art, including The Holly Collective, Coup D’ Esprit, Santhosh Ch and many other artists to debut their biggest show to date. These artists design directly for Four Hands, and the works are then reproduced and handmade at Four Hands’ new art studio in Austin, Texas.
New products are available online at Marketplace.fourhands.com for current Four Hands customers.
